Dyslexia Solutions

In today's classroom and office, there are really only two ways to get information - you either see it or hear it. The percentage of "doing" activities is so small it's not suggeted as a primary source of "getting" information. (That's why kids and adults who are "doers" have a significantly more difficult time adjusting and processing information in classroom and office settings).

Over 80% of the information that you see and get meaning from is processed through reading. Therefore, effective readers tend to be more successful in both typical school and business settings.
According to recent research published by the American Federation of Teachers:

  • Over 20% of school aged children cannot read well enough to gain meaning from the material.
  • Over 20% MORE school aged children cannot read well enough to enjoy reading.

WHAT?!?!

Do the math...that means that +40% of today's children CANNOT read WELL ENOUGH to enjoy it. That's almost half of our next generation. And 1/5 of the same generation can't read well enough to understand what they read. That's one out of every five kids. That's one out of every five adults in 10 years - that's our leaders and businesspeople and voters of 15-20 years from now. Do you REALLY want low level literate adults running the world in only 15 years?

Let's stop this TODAY!

It really doesn't matter whose "fault" it is - it's everyone's responsibility to change this pattern NOW!

  • If you're a homeschool parent - become an expert at all of the facets of reading that your child needs to learn.
  • If you're a teacher - become the best reading teacher at your school so that 98% of your students become effective readers instead of the 60% that are effective today.
  • If you're an administrator - become an expert at what your reading teachers should know so that when you hire teachers, you only hire effective ones. You'll save thousands of dollars per child in additional instruction and your retention rates will drop.
  • If you're a parent of a school aged child - become an educated supervisor of your child's education. Learn the terminology and pathway that each child should take when learning to read. The more educated you become, the better advocate you are.
